Paintshops ........had 3 lined up now to paint my car ,never in the office (apparently) , won't return calls, don't turn up to view and quote when they say they are gonna .

I am seriously ****ed off with everything , credit to people who just say '**** it' and sell up, my heads done in , been looking at other cars with a serious intent to sell up . Lifes to short to waste time chasing people to give them my money.

Those people who contacted me earlier this week pm me an offer for my shell , one of the best shells out there, ask Oggie or Spence , you might just catch me in the right mood.

Don't anyone say 'but your the reggie' , in name only , heard **** all from that shower of shite (the RSOC) since I took over, who wants the role cos tomorrow I'm handing my notice in and walking away from this scene.

Chill Paul,don't forget its Christmas and a lot of peeps are busy RSOC included,message's to call you back ect can get put to one side and forgot about:( Don't stress yourself out,lock up the garage and forget about it until new year:) The Christmas rush will be over and life will get back to normal,think long and hard about what you have said in the heat of the moment and ask yourself ' could I really turn my back on the RS scene '

P.S I know of a fantastic paint sprayer who is well into his Escort and even compete's in historical rallying events, pm me if interested the only problem would be bringing the car down here:)

Hey paul , i contacted the rsoc when i was thinking of buying my RS2000 and emma give me your contact numbers ! she said you were the best to contact for advice , so i did and you were !! you inspired me to buy the car and have helped me when i needed advice , for someone like me paul who knows **** all ! you are a godsend mate , and theres lots of new lads buying these cars who need help at the start from people like you paul . Its not just paint shops that **** you about these days its nearly all bussineses that think they are doin you a favour !! what i do pal is **** them off ! if they dont want my dough then fine ill find someone else who does . Your a top bloke Ruddy whos got a run of bad shit for a bit and it will ease off pal and things will go back to normal ! ill be in the shit if you go because i intended to peck your head alot more in the future . John, I agree 100% with you. We need someone who cares and knows our cars as our Registrar and I am also looking to Paul for guidance and assistance in the coming months.

Had a real bad week, both with the car and news of an ex collegue dying without notice, puts life into perspective.

If all else fails I'll take Robs advice and get the Dulux and roller out.

Definitely walk away from the car until the New Year and then re-visit - there are a couple of cracking bodyshops over this neck of the woods if need be :thumbright:

As for the registrar bit can you not just do what you think is needed to keep the mark properly represented at the main club level - leverage off some of the things that happen on here e.g. The Lakes Tour or the knowledge that exists on this board and others - does it matter whether it's on the main board or not? I know it doesn't for me as a lot of the folk on here are present on many of the boards and are also members of the main club.

Besides, as has been said here, just having access to a knowledgeable registrar counts for a lot :)

Bodyshops can be a pain, 3 year wait until I had to take my shell back. Now down at AP Motorsport in Edinburgh who have sorted out a good place to get the painting done. Bear with it, will be worth it in the end :)

Paul for what its worth chill out and take a step back and then a deep breath ok.

Right thing to remember is that Paul nrth yorks took up the 500 role in april/may 07 as did Wayne Champion for the MK1 and Paul is still waiting to collect the files this maybe to do with the previous registrars similar issues have occurred with the fiesta registrar who has got absolutely zero files from the predecessor and they have been written to by the club and the club solicitor but in this particular case I would say this may not necessarilybe down to the Club but the ex-registrar not being available to accommodate arrangements for the files to be collected, however, i would agree that it is unprofessional from whoever is responsible for dealing with these sort of issues as the least that should be done is a telephone call to keep you up to date with what the current situation is in getting you the files just out of respect and basic diplomacy.

Bare with it and just bide your time perhaps if it is that fraustrating you need to phone the Registrars Rep and tell him exactly what you feel this way there is no understanding and may well gee people up to get you the files ASAP.
