For those of you that are vaguely interested, you will know of my fun and games over the last few days. however, has anyone seen posted on ebay sunday evening mk 1 rs2000. Ten grand as a opening bid. abit beyond me, however did anyone see the MK 1 Mexico... PRISTINE condition "buy now" £6995 .... yes you guessed it, ive done it, after a long long conversation with the guy, and a assurance that he would pay for the flight if i wasn,t happy, we have agreed a price(pressed buy now to get it till Wednesday, with the guys say so). Yes i didn,t mention its in bloody Scotland again, still another mini adventure !!. i should have shares in Easyjet. i hope on my return wednesday evening ive good news to report, and will not be posting another PRISTINE... what does it mean ? P.S the car sounds and looks proper,as good underneath as on top, complete recovered interior, sebring red/orange ?? which is it. Wish me well and wait for the next exciting episode of I ONLY WANT TO BUY A CAR..
Good Luck !!!
Saw the 10k Mk1 on ebay, spent that so far on my mk2 2000

Hi, could you tell me anything about the ebay car rs2000 as the guy hasn,t returned my call or email yet. ian.
ian
i can vouch for charlies old car - what a car and all his own handywork.
is the other car the sebring one on ebay - if it is as good as the guy says then i would think that is is worth every penny.
Once you look at buying a half solid but ropey mex - theres £1000-£1500 before you start then add cost of panels and paint which could be upwards of £4000 then plus interior retrim etc etc etc .
You could aways try the avo site for info and look under contacts and ring a guy called andy percival who is the mexico registra for the avo club, hes a nice bloke and always willing to help and will have any info on the mex if its known to the club.
Hope my rambling has been of some help.

Vinny Hi, its ironic just put the phone down on Andy, yes the club do have knowledge of the car, and it does ring true, all the trim is correct even the correct centre consul. So thanks for that, and its off to bonny Scotland on Wednesday..............watch this space
