Due to ongoing issues with "make me an offer" type parts and cars for sale ads I will now be deleting ALL ads that do not carry an asking price.
If you want to advertise "offer price" type ads then put it on Thief bay and put a link in the Thiefbay links page.
Repeat offenders will simply have their account banned on this BB

all in all i think the majority of people on here seem to get on well with selling items, with no problems, a price for viewers to see as a guide line would be nice

My thoughts exactly.
The Ford forum over here is shite compared to this.

Dave think that is the correct approach we are a community on here and perhaps peeps should say exactly what price they want for anything they are selling I cant be bothered with make me an offer type of posts as you can end up getting sucked into a bidding war with another friend and that is not right state a price and take what you have asked for job done everyone is happy IMO
dave your soooooooo cleverrrrrrrr;)

yeah
What a really good idea. I can see this being adopted on all messageboards to keep things nice and honest within the 'community'.

nice one dave , sellers just name your price and do proper deals instead of tryin to push your luck with people like me who dont really know the going rate for parts !
I thnk Dave's approach is correct. If you want to sell an item then put a fixed price. If you want to take your chances, put it on e-bay.
The most annoying adds (not on this BB) are the "I'm thinking of selling my car..." which means: "I'm not thinking of selling my car but I want you lot to make me offers and then I'll decide it I want to sell it or not."
Martin has done this on the SOSE forum but also asked people not to post if they dont like any of the content or price of the items.
