  • Zakspeed Gp5. Restoration!!

    Hi Guys,

I am new to your site.
I posted on Turbosport and a member sugessted I post info about my car here.

The car has signifigant Ford Motorsport history, although not a "Works" car, Zakspeed were funded fully by Ford after 74 and the Capri era.

I found this car in Malaysia back in 2000. Since then it has been shopped back to NZ where I have been restoring it since 2001.

This car started life as a Gp 2 Zakspeed escort in 75 was then the Eurpoa Mobel (Blue/White) car in 76. It was then converted by Zakspeed to Gp 5 spec for the 77 season. The car made it's way to Macau in 78 and was left there, sold to the Harper Motor Group (Ford Dealer, Kowloon)

I have attached a few photos of the car as it was found in 2000 and some of the latest. I am hoping to have it ready for a roll out early 08.

Please let me know your thoughts. I will keep updating as things progress.

    Cheers,

    Gary.
