Found some suitable 94mm pistons at last.

Accrallite Forged piston to suit cozzy rods, 200 block and 8v head !

What are you building Dave?

I know it's some sort of Pinto/Cossie hybrid.

What's the aim?

Horsepower or torque or longevity or all of these?

200 Block

94mm bore = 2135cc

Cozzy rods + ARP bolts

Cozzy crank - knife edged and lightened

Lightweight steel flywheel + ARP bolts

pistons, rods, crank, flywheel - balanced as an assembly

Stage 3 8v Pinto head

RL31 cam kit - Maybe roller rockers if possible !

Weber 45's

2 1/4" exhaust manifold + 2 1/4" 2 box system

Aiming for 7500rpm

Maybe 180 - 190 bhp @ flywheel (more who knows ?)

Main aim though is long term strength of engine.

Does anyone have ideas or thoughts on the above ?

What would you do different ?

That sort of power would normally need 48s with big (40,41,42?) chokes and would be reliable from a std block and std crank (with forged pistons and steel rods) for all but circuit racing. Roller rockers seem out of favour by all the top Pinto people these days?

I was advised on 45's with 38mm chokes

To give driveability low down with only a small loss at top end

Roller rockers are only an idea

16v head will mean more engine bay chopping and changing

Still want to keep the "classic" look in the engine bay !

Dave how much are the pistons? I'm after some 93mm or up to 94mm one's for my pinto turbo. I was going to use standard 2.8 V6 with a ceramic coating on the top I think the all in cost is less than £300 for the set. how does that compair?
