  • mk1 mex winter tidy up

    started taking my mex apart today for some winter TLC,dont need a full blow restro just abit of tlc and adin my own bits to the car like wheels lowering poly bushs etc
    mex at ford fair


    what i started with

    and what it end lookin like




    and done the same on the front

      will defo be all back togther for the lakes tour in may but would like to get it to the historic motorsport show in late march

        you've got your work cut out then mate,i'm looking at 2009 & i'm being realistic with that as i know god dam well it'l be a right f@@ka..

          why 2009 your mex isnt that bad? all am doin is getin the engine and axle rebuilt,poly bush's lowering new wheels and whilst i got bits off the car am guna give then a lick of paint and cover and fill everything wit waxoly

            it dont need that much work but the bits it needs are going to cost me ££££

                once i start tim that'l be it, the engine i want is £4k+ & after reading the posts on the avo site i might end up dipping the bloody thing as well....

                        axle part from the body for the 2nd time this year today,came off alot easier this time round



                        left with a nice pile of bits to clean up




                        thats the back end apart so the rebuilt on the rear starts now

                          good one tim, whats the plans with all the bits, just a clean or bufty paint/coating, looks a great shell

                            hopin the get the smaller bits shot blasted via paul cox then paint in hammerite,axle is goin off to be rebuilt then will be painted black,poly bushs alround and lowered
