I am desperately in need of a MKII ESCORT with a 2.8i special V6 in it. i know a guy with a mint 1300 POP shell which he is reluctant to part with but would do for the right price. he's a mechanic and was supposed to build it to my spec with a 2.8i as the power unit but he seems to have lost interest and says that if he was to build it, it would be 4 months minimum before it would be completed. it would obviously be cheaper if i could find one already built, aswell as it being easier than seeing if this guy has changed his mind every 5 minutes, but they don't seem to be a popular conversion and are hard to find. do you know of any for sale already built or anywhere that might have one? i was quoted around 2600 - 3200 pounds for the build all in, inc. a full respray because the shell is the most mint a shell i've ever seen, is this a good quote or just unrealistic? i also heard of a company possibly called "savage" that apparently used to do V6 conversions, do you know anything about this?
