View Full Version : Where are our cars ?
This is done on a few sites, and this one has been specifically set up for Rallyesportescorts.
Simply press a couple of buttons and it will highlight where on the map of the world you are and you can see where others are dotted around.:D
Go on.....put yourself on the map !:agree:

The cunnning plan has worked......Now I know there is an RS in Bristol, so I'm going in the dead of night tonight to pinch it. It should be simple!
As said before, put a rough area down if you like?....:salute:
It's just to see where the bulk of them are....South East maybe?...and It would be interesting to see how many are overseas.:)

Same thoughts here Hally.
It's got 36 people on so far, so obviously a lot of others are interested as well.:thumbright:

I'm always on the lookout for cars & quite often get asked by owners how I heard about a car that's parked in a back garden or garage.
People seem willing to pass on information about others & where they keep stuff.
As daytona 2000 said, the theives will take it if they really want it.
A mate of mine had a mint 1600 sport, this was around 12 years ago...
The days before the internet, ebay & expensive escorts.
Someone wanted the car though as they moved a 7 1/2 ton truck (parked across his drive) a transit & montego estate off his drive to get the car wich was immobilised & alarmed.
They took the car in the early hours & nobody saw or heard anything. Not even his dog barked.
Same here Mark, knew someone lived in a very nice area rebuilding an arched MK2, got it to the rolling shell stage. Woke up one morning to find his Astra GTE stage car was parked in the road, his moms XR was in the road and his brothers Renault was parked on the front lawn, garage doors opened shell gone. Also took the freshly built N/A cossie sat on the floor. Dog didn't bark once but went mad when anyone turned up normally
Correct, if they really want to nick your car, they will try their very best.
But, does that mean we cannot go to any more shows or enjoy them in case we are followed home?
Obviously be careful in what you put up, no post codes, maybe put a nearby town etc. 36 owners up at the moment, including France, Oz, Southern Ireland etc. The South East is short of dots at the mo !
