My speedo has started making awful grating noises and jumping around at all speeds.

Cable going going gone I think.

Anyone know where I can source a replacement cable?

The part No on this invoice is 6060507 ?

and one thing !!!!!!!!!!!!

I might teaching my granny to suck eggs here but make sure that you run oil down inside of the cable before installing it otherwise you break it as they come dry packed "ungreased"

Job done.

A bit fiddly, getting to the back of the speedo head, and also I removed the gearbox supporting bracket to get at the circlip, but it's perfect.

Took about 20 minutes all in.

MANY THANKS.

p.s. I didn't know that the cable needed lubrication btw

Actually Neil I drive pretty slowly - generally.

41 in July - 2 (admittedly lovely) ankle biters - Mondeo Man - big responsibilities, ..........yawn.

However I'll take you for a couple of laps in Brunters if you wish - might give you an insight into how to rebel against the regime lol
