Anybody want some new black beta fabric

As the title says, I've found a trim supplier 'up North' that has about 10m of original black beta (which has about 6" of damage down either side) and about 25m of repro black beta for sale.

I've taken a deep breath and bought 6m of the repro stuff - which to be honest is identical to the original apart from the foam backing being a little thicker - even though my current car is chocolate interior. The lady at the trim company says that once this is gone, then it's gone. Apparently the company that made the repro is not going to make any more.

I'm sure I'll have a black interior car at some point in the future (especially if I get planning permission for my double garage) so I thought it would be a good investment.

Price for either is £50 per meter, the fabric is the standard 54" wide.

If anyone out there has some chocolate beta they want to sell, please let me know as I will pay the 'going' rate for it.

I've now got my black beta repro. The company is very friendly and turns the orders round very fast. It took a while 'cos the postal service messed it up and the roll has now been back and forth between UK and France twice! I've not unpacked it yet, as that will be a winter project. That was a good tip! Cheers!

I've ordered some genuine black beta cloth from them - am still awaiting delivery, I'll let you know how good the stuff is when I receive it.

I've just recieved my beta cloth {genuine} from them , I'ts near perfect only the backing is slightly thin for about 6'' down one side - I'm well pleased with it.:bounce:

Glad you're happy Martin, I bought the repro stuff which I think is near identical to the original
