Good luck with the sale, be sure its what you want as 500's are hard to come by and standard mk2's are not exactly thrilling to drive ;)

Yeah Neil been thinking about this for a while and I will get some cash in the coffers as well tbh but no std ones for me mate want something with some sharp teeth mate

Thanks Dave tbh had my fill of 500's and I am burned out on them with all the shanagins that have been going on over the past couple of years plus I can have a cracking RS that is everything you could dream of in a Mk2 plus I can alway where an Afro and play the profesionals music and still be cool lmao

Cossie power is ok but I like the pinto or BDA where it belong and that under the bonnet of the Mk2 maybe cossie power if it was naturally aspirated but other than that dont think I would want Turbo powere in a retro car as I like the idea of the old skool engines as well tbh

Guy I know was in the reverse position last year. Had a very quick concours Mk 1 RS and a 500. He sold the Mk 1.

it was a great car got an article of it in Fast Ford many years ago with its previous owner Colin Darby also in the feature was his Swaymar turbo I will post it up if you want to have a read got it in my photobucket account somewhere??

Also the car was featured in Classic Ford as well whilst I owned it aint got a copy as I gave all the copies I had to Wayne the Mk1 Registrar so he has it think it was April issue 2002 or 2003 article was called depth charge
