The 'scort passed it's MOT with flying colours today.

Don't you just love taking your nice looking mk2 into a garage and getting that "bloody hell" reaction from the mechanics when they see a shiny 26 year old car??!! Quality!

I was well chuffed - no advice or anything.

Whenever anyone sees my MKII RS2000 the same remark always follows :-

I had an RS but it was a "proper" one it was a Mexico !!

lol just how many Mexicos were there ?

mine went through the last time and the MOT fellas said it was better than loads of much newer car we get in :cheers:

but in N Ireland our test centres are all computerised it tests the brakes suspensiona lights, the man/woman working the system has no say wether if passes or fails they just drive it through until the end where they check bodywork tyres and bush movment will the machine shakes the wheels

I had some joker try to fail one of mine (years ago) because it had "holes" in the front chassis legs.

Yes, I said, they are supposed to be there, they are an early type of crumple zone, here, look at this other one in the car park - exactly the same.

It passed then :rolleyes:

Think there were about 2,500 Mex's made. Still the "Proper" RS Mr Custom............. :cheers: Most people who see mine say it's not a proper one cause it's not a MK1 GRRRRRRRRR

And according to the people I speak to they have been owned by everybody who has ever had a MKII - lol
