As my old girl needs some work doing, rear arches need replacing both front wing rails need a bit of work and possibly a new front panel as well, so I'm thinking of going X-Pack.
How hard is one to fit?
Any tips on fitting one?
Is fibersport still the best place to buy from?
Whats your views, should I go X rated or stay nice and trim?
leave it alone and just repair what it needs, x pack kits are a nightmare to fit apprantly!
GO FOR IT !!!
Fibersports is the place that Ford used to make the kit for the UK Market. Only problem is you need the 7.5" RS wheels. I think Dave may still have his kit and wheels up for sale.
I don't know why people go mad for modding these cars like this, it usually sounds great until you realise what's involved and that once done there's no way back, well not without spending shed loads for new panels anyway.
Do what you think best, I wouldn't bovver meself.
go 4 it not enough x about, custom got the kit and wheels for sale
no no no no no no , fix whats broken and nothing else :)

Go for it,it would look so cool:cool:
id repair what youve got - unless you really really really want an X
took me best part 2 weeks to prep and fit - didnt find it too bad to fit although id done bodywork stuff before + the old man was a great help too, what with his 45 + years as a panel beater :smash:
fibresport kit is very well made btw
good luck
Its your car, so the final decision should be yours, but i would.:D

Have to say I have given it serious consideration on my Green one, as the rear arches have already been repaired up to full height

Obviously may be a bit biased here but go for it!
Having said that the kits look crap unless they are fitted properly by a pro..most painters will charge a fortune so I'd look at this first. You will also need to sort something out with the wheels too - so the costs will add up quickly..
So I'd say go for it if you have the money & patience, but if not just sort out everything else & enjoy driving the damn thing!

can't beat an x-pack Kieron, especially in black...go for it mate

Thanks for all the replies, I've always wanted an X-pack MK2 so will get some prices on cost of fitting and painting.
Already checked out the cost of the kit which isn't to bad.
Will have to do a pro & con list then say **** it and have the kit fitted anyway:D

my old man was a panel beater for 45 years, so i just left him to get on with it, i kept out the way as i would only get on his nerves
:p
Go for it,
was going to do mine but have gone to far on the replacment panel fitting,so can't face hacking out what i've already done.
