anybody thought of rigging up a pinto onto a trailer thus rendering the bit in the middle (ie chassis) obsolete?

Lee , the one on the trailer is now cut into manageable pieces, most of it is/was scrap - I bought it with the wild dream of restoring it or selling it to be restored, but after advertising it, and finding no takers, I have cut it into pieces that may help others to restore their cars.

Roof, back panel, n/s inner wing and loads of other bits all saved  and some already helping others, such as the door cards to FasterFords for his Cossy mexico, and a couple of bits to Neil (Mk2 MadMan).

The one in my signature is a really nice 79 custom that's nearing completion now, I'll change the picture I think ;)

i wish i could spend loads of time doing up RS's, i'd soon get into trouble cos i'd never want to get rid of any of 'em. you is one lucky geezer, by the way, is it just a hobby for you? or do you manage to make a living out of doing this?? may seem ignorant of me im sure, but i dont know

He should do the money he charges !!!
he he he

Before anyone charges down my throat, I bought my mk2 mex from Rob, and it was a very good deal (well, I hope so as I haven't stripped it down yet!!)

Lee it's just a hobby, I try to make a bit of money out of it from time to time, but I find I spend a lot more than I make, a LOT more

Darren, I had several people interested in your (my old)car, one even offered more than the asking price for it - but as you had first shout you got it
