RS2000 i've had since november failed it's mot last saturday, :cry: mostly welding unfortunately. Anyway both outer sills near seatbelt mountings are holed but as i clean up the holes keep getting bigger!! Removed carpet today to find crustiness in n/s bulk head resulting in 2 nice big holes which left me pretty gutted to say the least. So as u can see i need some words of encouragement to continue on and get the old girl back on the road for these warm summer days!!! :grin:

Go for it mate dont let the shitty brown stuff get you down weld to your hearts content and get the old girl back into the traffic with mundane cars of today, and she shall shine once again :grin:

Bizarre but i just noticed we both joined this board on the same day, 11th feb!! and my car's yello too!!!!!

you cant give up now after all that work mate, just for someone else to do the finishing touches and have all that fun with your pride and joy. you would hate it if you went to a show and seen someone else racing it or showing it on a stand. keep on going mate even if it takes until next year. it will all be worth it mate. :cool: :lol:

Hooray, finished the welding on Monday, got the interior back in yesterday, took her for a re-test this morning, PASSED!!!!!!!

Spent the afternoon washing and polishing her, looking good now.

I'll tax it at the end of the month and have a great summer with the arse end out!!!!!!!!!!!! :lol:

I've been following your pictures dave, can't believe there's so much to do, the car looks an absolute minter from the piccies!

Keep going mate, i'm looking forward to seeing it in the flesh later this year. :grin:
