Paul,
Correct June the 14th is the big day, Cooky hadn't realised either so i dont think he will be there (he is invited!!!) i know they are planning to go to the AVO day on the sunday, the evening wedding party is only 15 miles from Bruntingthorpe/Stanford hall so if you want to pop along i could probably arrange some rooms at the local B&B.
cheers
Martyn
ps. I suggested we postpone the wedding but she said we would all die a slow and painful death!!!!!!!

...from the AVO club website....
A note to all those camping over. Last year we stayed at Stanford Hall for the AVO national day on the Sunday. This has been posted on their BB:
In relation to National Day, there is camping allowed on the Saturday night at a cost of £5.00 per unit and £2.50 per head.
This will be strictly controlled and anyone wishing to use this facility will need to book a place through me well in advance of the day. They will also need to check in with me on arrival.
There are other restrictions in place as we share that facility with The American Civil War Society who have breen granted a "Black powder Licence" for their weekend.
I do not need to emphasise the care and safety aspects in relation to this as we are all fully aware of the security status of this country following recent events.
There will be strict guidelines that MUST WITHOUT FAIL be adhered to whist walking through the grounds in the area of the camping field and the Society.
There will also be loose horses in certain areas so vehicle movement will be kept to an absolute minimum in the grounds.
On the bright side, there is a bar and food outlet within their camp that we can also make use of.
We(The AVO Club)will be making a financial contribution to them for the use of their toilet facilities for the people camping on the Saturday night.
Please remember this and do not let YOUR CLUB down by misuse or bad behaviour.
If I find that anyone has breached any of the rules laid down for the use of these facilities I shall be asking that the Committee meet to expel that person or persons from the Club.
We have had to negotiate with all the parties involved to obtain this facility, please ensure that we can use it again.
There is yet again a great Guest Speaker, this year it is Mr Bob HOWE who will be interviewed in the marquee by Mr Graham ROBSON.
There is a childrens entertainer doing two shows through the day and I hope that there will be some form of "bouncy" equipment(No..not that sort!!)
These items are free to visitors but there will be a charity collection for "CLIC" a Childrens Charity assisting youngsters with cancer.
Please dig deep for those less fortunate than ourselves.
The Spares Road Show will be there in all its glory aswell as those fantastic regalia items that sold so well last year!
I nearly forgot...its my daughter, Melanie's 12th Birthday that day.....please bring her a card if you can.......she will then possibly and I mean possibly forgive me for not being at home when she wakes up that day.
Thanks Folks,
Any questions you have please do not hesitate to ring or mail me.
Regards,
Russ
