As of September 2006
There are 1110 MKII RS Mexico's known by DVLA
52 in Sept 06 were taxed
41 of em in England

Genuine non log booked ones have to be down to 500 or so surely, as I've met loads of people that I've bought bits off of, who used to buy knackered RS's and split 'em, and no doubt shed loads of these and RSII's alike are just re-shelled wonders.
That's why I suppose, the low mileage few owner loads of documented cars are going for big money these days:rolleyes:

Pretty much standard, apart from the alloys and a fibreglass spoiler (hope to change it for the original one this year some time, just needs respraying).
Took the car for a run over the mountains last weekend, few pics below.

Hay bluff just after the hairpin junction it looks like and the ford down from the hairpin junction towards Talgarth common?
if it is, your on your way down to Llantony Abbey, the best lane anywhere, 7000rpm in 5th and hedges touching the wing mirrors, you cannot see much more than 100 yards , but they are mostly all flat out corners towards the bottom.
where did you get that from ?

Dont worry my source at DVLA cant tell via the DVLA computer which ones are standard or modified - lol :p
mine was sorn last year , but will be taxed for 6 months at the end of March this year ;)

There are 1110 MKII RS Mexico's known by DVLA
That won't include any in Northern Ireland or the as the North is on a separate computer system - for now!
So if Sean has 6, Gerard has 5, Brian knows 5 others (1 of being Gerards) and I know 2, there's 17 motors in NI to start.
Do dealer mods, such as xpack kit fitted at point of sale, count as molested or unmolested?

Dont ever remember seeing it in Devon at any time, the number plate denotes a stoke on Trent car originally :confused:
i've had two mexico's, one was stolen in 1989:eek: never to be seen again and the other i sold to west wales rally spares in about 1991:confused: , not sure if it about , both were diamond white

Looks lovely that. Remonds me of my old one but in a lot better condition.:)
1.Mines on a sorn as well,not at all standard or orignal:D
2.Marks is a single yellow one.
3.And we have just respayed a diamond white.
4.I mate of mine is just finishing hes red one,fitted with a 260bhp n/a cossy
5. We done the panel work on a white one,i owner car,thats now sadly been turned into a track car:( Dave and Vinny saw this one.
Thats 5 more.

that was some standard shell Jez had,
what a shame imo that this car is now a track weapon, oh well everyone to there own as they say

Yes he still owns it,he's been given a lot of bad advice and now he's turned a very rare mex into a track toy.:(

hemant checks in on here so he might have some pics/stories of it
hemants mex is an s reg and must have come down the production line with mine as the vin numbers are very close same colour too

how many origanal mexico's are they with the correct shell? and whats diffrence with mex shell and rs2?

lads you all have gone of the point but it seems there are alot of mexicos out there still...:D .....some of the mexicos mentioned are modified ones, therefor not standard....:p :D .....as for the question of Hally's, Id say mine is the original shell but has been restored previous in 94/95....but im sure the lads from the north can tell me if im correct as thats were the car came from :D .....as for the 2nd question i think its fairly obvious Hally 1 is flat front (the best looking of course :p ) & the dash...im sure there are a few more but not many :D
what are the diffrences on the shell?
