white rs2 resto hope to start soon

my mates brother has a diamond white rs2 in his garage,been in there for about 5 years says it is a runner with the interior stripped ,he's not touched it for four of those, i'm going to see it saturday with a view to starting my own restoration , so i'm going to need all the help i can get from you lot as you seem to know your stuff, he says its a 1980 registered on a v plate , i will post some pics of the car next weekend after the viewing , and who knows i may be a 2 car rs family next week :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek: , i'm scared :D
