View Full Version : Beige or black?

Hi guys. As some of you know my RS has a beige interior. Not the original interior and not everybody's taste! Currently it got fishnets, but I'm going to get the roll tops recovered. Seeing as beta is so dear, and mine is never going to be a show winner, I'm going down the leather route.
Now, the door cards and back cards are mint, no speaker holes in beige.

So wondering what your views are?
Beige leather roll tops and keep the cards?
Or
Black leather roll tops and either change cards for black ones or have them covered in black leather?
Your views please
Cheers
Stu

I have loads of records, not as much as you, but I have some rare stuff too.
Their new stuff? To be honest I don't like it at all. The missus and myself went to see them in Cardiff last December. Don't get me wrong, they are still fantastic, but they played all 10 songs from their new album. The place erupted when they finished with a few of the old stuff.

Was Blaze Bailey. Recorded one song with him at Rhythm studio's in 1991(ish) for my old band Cerebral Fix. Was a cover version of Judas Priest's Living After Midnight. Was included as a bonus track on our CD "Death Erotica"

He turned up for the recording in a 3 pin plug (Hmmmmmmmm) We all ****ed ourselves when he came down the dirt track to thye studio bouncing all over the place :D There was the most amazing blonde in his passenger seat...........slobber

I could only hear Punk Music in mine  band have just reformed but I have retired for good :( Also did a second track "Smash It Up" with him by the Damned for the same CD. Have also played gigs at the Ruskin Arms (Where Maiden played their first gig) And the Oval in Norwich which was run by their roadies at the time. Only really like their first LP and maybe Number of the Beast. High pitched singing always put me off as I was only into Punk at the time. Saw Paul Di'Anno's "Battlezone" shortly after he and Clive Burr left in Brum. They did loads of old songs....Great :D

I met Bruce Dickinson back in 2002 when my brother appeared on Never Mind the Buzz****s and have to say he was a top man.

My brother(Bill Simpson) was the bass player for The Skids (Into the Valley etc) recently U2 and Green Day covered The Skids, The Saints are Coming, and Bruces team failed to pick him out from the id parade .http://bbs.rallyesportescorts.co.uk/images/icons/icon7.gif

Great night in the green room after the show as well http://bbs.rallyesportescorts.co.uk/images/icons/icon6.gif

My brother started a pub covers band in 1976 with his best mate from school Stuart Adamson and they formed The Skids in 1977 (plans are afoot to celebrate their 30 years anniversary)
He left in 1981 before the decline into the dodgy,Jobson led celtic poetry stuff!!!!! and of course Stuart left to form the superb Big Country

Sadly Stuart took his own life in Dec 2001 and a special tribute concert was given in his honour featuring amongst others Runrig,Dead Men Walking(Mike Peters,Kirk Brandon,Glen Matlock,Pete Wylie),Steve Harley,Bill Nelson,Midge Ure,Hugh Cornwall and The Conrods(led by Damon Hill).
The Skids reunited to steal the show on the night at the famous Glasgow Barras.
What a night!!!!!http://bbs.rallyesportescorts.co.uk/images/icons/icon6.gif
