Ive heard a whisper and its reliable that the rs owners national day is at rockinham on 19 august and will be shared with the british touring cars (btcc). trcak action for rs people will be £85 and only 9 till 12 then the touring cars and fieta challenge will have the rest of the day. apparently its all signed and sealed and theres nothing we can do! In my opinion rs nat day should be just that and not shared, whats your views?:(

still there is always croft rsoc day for trackdays, and plenty of bookatrack ones

thats the general feeling of everybody in our local group, this should not of been signed and sealed without contacting comittee of local groups! mr long hair apperently just met up with the btcc people and agreed it there and then!

BTCC is at Brands on the 19th August, pays to check , someone been winding you up Hally , unless dates have changed but Rockinghams website doesn't have anything in for the 19th August.

not very reliable source im afraid, in fact total bollocks.


there will be a combined activity with the BRSCC though

sorry yes with the brscc, shouldnt it been voted on as its our rs nat day and not brscc and rs day?The general opinion of people ive spoke to will be not attending!:mad: There was no talk of combined rs day when it was discussed at agm to change venue so should the committee of local groups been informed and got an oppinion on it?

But its a members group run by and for the mass's LOL...

Here we go ....track boys think the day is for them again as usual, getting very very boring, go and have a trackday somewhere else ...... I can watch chavs driving round the local streets all day if I want, same as a trackday.:sleepy1: :sleepy1: :sleepy1: :sleepy1: :sleepy1: :sleepy1:

The event for the ford saloon cars happen's several times a year at different venues.....why the fooook have it the same day as national day and ruin what some members of the club want.....

Theres a lot of skill in polishing you know, takes years to perfect the right moves ....

Stood next to some folk watching track action, half of them didn't know what a Ford was but they knew the Cossie engined ones, they were the ones puffing smoke and sounding shagged.

PMSL....not at all mate...

I personally like national day because of the cheap track day you get....last year it wasn't cheap and this year it looks to be short if the rumours are true...

I am sure the polishers will not care cause they are busy polishing and not using.....personally each to there own but it don't matter cause the club has the polishers interest at heart....

Don't think our group will even go to national day at this rate LOL

PMSL....been on track with the ford saloon car boys before and got hammered so nothing new for me there :p :p :p

I think croft is gonna be the best show of the year by far LOL ;)

If i can add my bit to the mix.
I think it's **** poor that the National day move's to Rockingham (which i belive was the right thing to do) saving the club more than half of Donnington's prices and moans about the dwindling numbers of members in the club, then pulls the plug on show's that should be attracting members.
I'm talking about the NON attending of Autosport this year.
We may not get a lot of new members at this show BUT it keep's the clubs profile up and lets everyone out there know that there still is a club.
As far as track days and show days i think the club and local groups are missing a great opertunity here. Groups should combine and put on joint Show/Track days on.

Been saying this for years and maybe in the coming years Kent RSOC group will put the idea to the other local groups in the area.
