as with Bri, they handle well and drive nicely, however need the power of the 2000 to perform with spirit,

got to say the pop/mex drives lovely in standard form ie suspension etc, the bonus of a 1.8 adds a little spice

managed to keep up on the lakes tour but a 1.6 wouldnt pull you out of bed

Suspension, good. Engine awful ;)
am just thinkin as i would like an rs and a mex being small enginer would be cheaper 2 insureance as am still only a young en :p

wasnt the 1.6 supposed to be a smoother engine than the 2.0
has anyone ever bothered to fit webers and a bv head to a 1.6? i bet you could still get good bhp figures
