  • Hi to all and a few questions

As topic title really, just wanted to say hi and ask a couple of questions.

Many years ago I used to own a RS2K in Midnight Blue with tan interior and I was a member of the RSOC back then.I went to one of the shows at Stanford Hall and could only find 2 other cars in this colour/trim combination was it that rare?I am kicking myself now for getting rid of it as now I want another one do you think I can find one....anyway

I do remember that someone was making models of cars back then it must have been about 1985 or so does anyone know where to find scale models of Mark 2's not the rally reps just the standard road cars(RS's).

So anyone want to sell me their Mex or RS2K?lol

Or got any links to somewhere online I can get some models?

    Thanks

    J

j i used to own a "y" reg rs2000 in midnight blue with biege trim.it was re registered when imported from isle of man,it was a 1980 car...it was in show condition when i had it stolen .it was reg UFS 373Y I dont know if anyone remebers it as i took it to most shows around the country.Paul Corkhill said at the time if the colour was different that it would win some trophys, but it still one of my favourite rs colours.good luck in finding one

        midnight blue

m8 i have looked as much as i can on all the web's and there is very little cars with that colour, from my knowledge the midnight blue colour was an optional extra from the 78 onwards, and most people went for the normal factory colours, just for the aid of cheapness and originalty.
if you know of any other cars out there with that coluor then i would love too know about them.

 Cheers guys,I do get CF regularly but always sem to miss the cars I am interested in :-( might be time to get a subscription.I thought I actually saw my old car in the mag last month in the Readers Cars section looked like it had the same reg no to me(KGN 500T)if only I could find my pictures I would scan some in.
Apparently the car I bought belonged to Mr Pea**** of Pea****s of Balham(no more unfortunately)and the guy I bought it off had owned it from six months old.I did all the mechcanical restoration to it but lost interest in it after some git tried to steal it and then sold it to someone I worked with who scrapped it eventually as it needed inner wings.
I suppose its quite possible the id was sold on?

I see that you are Surrey based(mk2rstaff)if I find the pics we can meet for a beer and I will show them to you if you give me a ride in your motor :-)

          Cheers

          J
