Well this is my latest purchase, not content with Vinny's bootless beige and a shell Ive got half way though ive added another to the fleet.An ebay purchase at £2400:D , I was surprised to be greated with bundles of receipts and mots all presented in a folder.The owner had even wrote me a 4 page letter telling me all the cars funny querks(sticky bonnet cable, 3 pumps of the trottle to start her,blah blah).Yes shes an mot failure but three little plates is all, the strut tops have been plated over but all the rest of the car is untouched. Mind you at 90,000 miles hasnt seen alot of action, the previous owner had had it for three years and done 800 miles in it, the guy before him owned her since 1989, with two owners before him.The guys wife was moaning he had just had the wheels diamond cut and new boots, then just decided to sell her as he didnt mind driving it but wasn't interested in the maintance side of the escort.Plans are just to use it for the summer and have a general tidy up new rear arches, dings and dangs removed, inners and a respray.
Engine wise she purred all the way back from Maidstone no probs:)

Gaz shes abit shite under the bonnet, but every where else aint bad.
Paul still keeping the Vin's beige, as er indoors is loved up with it, blick en to roll around with till winter then who knows;)

well just took her for the mot last mot Nov 2003 at 90472 todays milage 90723 251 miles in 3years:D .It failed:( on the following:
No mainbeam on either side
Front wheel bearing excessive play
Exhaust emissions through the roof, hc measured 9652 max limit allowed 1200:eek: :eek: .Im hoping that the lead replacment gear and redX that I chucked in there is the cause
All in all pretty pleased as he did have a good poke around underneath.
Got talking to a guy down there with cossie on a Qplate then I noticed no sunroof and the Brodie motorsport tag, was a 909 shell in signal yellow.He was well taken with the rs and couldn't belive the price id payed:cool:

Now Moted:D , two new brake cylinders as one was weeping and the motor factors done me a deal on the other, so i changed it anyhow. Top plates bodges coming off Friday, fingers crossed it isn't to bad underneth. Then shes off to get her arches and lumps and bumps done.
